Is one computer course enough?
The Internet revolution
When the internet became popular and we started searching for information, getting details about companies from their websites, sending emails and creating more documents, spreadsheets and presentations it was a big deal to send staff to computer computer courses. It was worth the money because there was a lot of definite pieces of information required and everyone needed to upskill.
Between 1996 and 2003 a computer course would cost you $250 to $450 (per person) to learn only one software program like Microsoft Word. If you wanted to have a staff member trained on Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint or Microsoft Outlook, you would have the same amount of money to pay for each computer software course.
If they didn't know how to save files, edit images or use MYOB it became an even more expensive exercise.
Things have now changed!
Now, most people have varying degrees of computer skills, which is fantastic for companies because staff are now more productive, saving the company money and making them more competitive.
The issue that faces companies today is that companies need their staff to know more software programs and use more advanced features of those computer software programs.
But, how to you educate staff when they are at differing skill levels for an economical price? Old style courses are still available from local companies, but they are still a fixed price per course because training companies need to pay rent on their premises, pay computer software trainers for their time and purchasing training materials that students can take home with them as a reference.
There has to be a better way!
Is there are better way?
Thankfully the way computer software training is delivered has changed too. The internet has given companies a link to millions of sources of information, and increased the number of ways that information (ie. computer software training) can be delivered.
All of our computer training material is now delivered online. That means that anyone with broadband internet access (we use online computer training videos) can access our training material from anywhere using a simple username and password. It's just like accessing your hotmail or yahoo email address.

4 teaching methods
The first method of learning are the videos, because they are simple, well explained and you can repeat them. The videos contain visual instructions with voice explanations to maximise your learning.
The videos provide you with the solutions whether you are a visual learner or an Auditory learner. The next step are Quiz Questions.
The Quiz Questions are designed to highlight the important parts of the Showezy videos (not to give you a mark out of 10). These quiz questions are designed to focus your learning on the key elements being taught. The next step is going through the Training Workbooks.
Training Workbooks are the practical tools that actually make you use the skills that you have been shown. This is the part where you start to create files. You will start to see the labour of your learning.
Training Workbooks also provide a great reference as each part of the process is also explained in these workbooks. If you come across difficulties while using the Training Workbooks, then the 4th method of training comes into effect and that comes from your local computer trainer. This is when you get individual attention to help you understand difficult concepts.
Remember that you can receive this help whether you are at an EzyLearn Licensed centre or in your own home/office.
